About The Barge Restaurant

The Barge Riverside Restaurant is located at a permanent mooring immediately behind the Archbishop's Palace within a few minutes walk of the town centre. It's a great location for private functions and everyday dining. Locally supplied quality ingredients cooked fresh makes for a great experience.

The management have received fantastic responses from their newest diners who have said " that the restaurant is not only different but offers veiws of the River not seen before and that the food is exceptional"

The Barge Restaurant offers imaginative and expertly cooked modern European food in an elegant but relaxed environment permanently moored on the River Medway with view of Kent's premier historic sights . Ingredients are sourced from local suppliers who share our passion for freshness & quality. A range of regularly changing menus and a carefully selected wine list, offering wines from Europe and the New World, make the Barge the perfect neighbourhood restaurant and the new place to eat in Kent.

We are proud to be an independent operation and are using local suppliers wherever possible to create mouthwatering dishes for you to enjoy on any occasion.

We'll be offering a range of delicious deli boards ideal for sharing with a glass of carefully selected wine.

Our Riverview Room is available for private functions and events with food packages to suit all special occasions
