The City Merchant is situated only a short walk from George Square in the heart of Glasgow's Merchant City and is one of Glasgow's leading seafood restaurant, providing a rustic Scottish ambience, warm Glasgow hospitality and fine local produce. Carnivores are also spoilt for choice. As a member of the Scottish Beef Club, steaks are delivered by a Quality Meat Scotland approved butcher. All ingredients are sourced locally where possible and are of the very highest quality. The lunch menu is £9.95 for 2 courses and pre theatre £12.50 for 2 courses (£14.50 Friday & Saturday). The City Merchant also offers private dining - this private secluded area is ideal for small gatherings or business meetings. The VIP Loft Dining area can accommodate up to 16 guests with a minimum of 12 persons, depending on the day requested, as well as a function room (self-contained, flexible, with its own bar and the ideal rendez-vous for informal gatherings).
