About The Thomas a Becket


Our 100 year old pub is split into several sections: 2 bar areas which offer relaxed table service and a snug “Reading room" which features real coal fire – fantastically cosy on a cold winter's day. Our dining room offers full table service for food all through the week.

Even outside we have a number of seating areas including a lawned area at the rear of the pub with a superbly designed play area for the kids.

We have free Wi-Fi throughout the pub. Just ask us for the access code and you can check out your e-mails, surf the web or even just check the football results.

Our opening hours are from 11 AM to 11 PM Monday to Thursday and we are open to midnight on Friday and Saturday evenings. We serve food from 12 to 2 p.m. and from 6:30 PM to 9 PM on Monday to Friday. At weekends we are open for food from midday.

We're happy to take bookings so just give us a call or drop us a line and we will arrange to meet your requirements. We'll happily accommodate large parties and can even provide a private area at certain times. Children are welcome and you can even bring your dog.

We organise regular special events – why not register your details and we’ll keep you up to date. We have live music most Saturday nights to add atmosphere to your weekend dining.
