The Brewery Tap
"A MAGNIFICENT PUB"
The Brewery Tap is set an historic great hall, of medieval origin rebuilt in the 17th century (the external brick façade was added following the fire of London). It's a great setting to sample our range of craft beers and delicious food.
Life at "The Tap" revolves around the bar where we serve cask and keg beers & ciders along with a good selection of wines and spirits. We have Spitting Feathers beers as well as selected guest beers from local breweries and further afield. All food is freshly prepared using locally sourced seasonal ingredients, some from Spitting Feathers' HQ- Common Farm.
High quality food freshly prepared from the best ingredients sourced, wherever possible, from local growers and suppliers. Bread is supplied by Wallis the Bakers in Saltney, locally reared meats are supplied by Dave Joinson of Chester Market and the ice-creams are made by Cheshire Farm Ice-Cream in Tattenhall.
Meat, salad, vegetables, fruit and honey from the Spitting Feathers Farm and brewery in Waverton, Chester are all used including pork from our rare-breed pigs and our own range of homemade relishes, chutneys, condiments and preserves. Our menu changes daily, but this gives you an idea of what we do!
Dogs are welcome, as are children, up to 8pm.

Table booked for 6 people, Sunday afternoon, had to change booking by an hour, due to traffic. None of us had eaten here previously, but we were all delighted with the experience. Friendly staff, excellent service, superb food, great portions. Comfortable surroundings. 10 out of 10
