Located in the heart of Lynton on Exmoor which offers excellent walking opportunities, The Crown offers a warm welcome and a resting place where travellers can relax in a friendly atmosphere. The Crown Hotel started life as a Coaching House in the 1760’s. The hotel has been developed in many ways over the year and has been a main hub of the village of Lynton. From being part of the recovery centre in the flood of 1952 to being one of the locations where murals were painted on the walls of the pub by the renowned Mick Cawston. The Crown offers comfortable rooms, free car parking and Wi-Fi, log fires, comfortable lounges and a traditional bar. From hearty breakfasts, to light snacks, lunches, and evening meals, the kitchen provides good value, honest home-cooked food. Daily specials with that home-cooked feel are also available: classic winter warmers or lighter summer dishes, using as far as possible locally sourced ingredients from local suppliers. Don't miss the Sunday carvery with a choice of three meats and a good selection of fresh vegetables and home-made Yorkshire puddings. A firm favourite with guests, locals and visitors.
