This gorgeous little quayside restaurant overlooks Brixham harbour and is in close proximity to Brixham Quay. Not surprisingly, the house speciality is the freshest and most succulent seafood. All the fish is sourced locally and comes fresh off the boat every day - everything is superbly cooked to bring out the subtle texture and flavours of the seafood. Simple, elegant and delicious, the quality and freshness speak for itself. Plates are hearty and generous. There is also a private dining room - available for small parties of 8 to 14 guests.

Another great meal at a great little restaurant. The views are fabulous but bettered by the quality and value of the food.

We had a very enjoyable two course meal, both of us had fish courses. We had just arrived in Brigham and the restaurant was well placed in the centre of Brigham. We had reviewed the restaurant on the internet prior to arrival and were satisfied that we had been given an accurate portrayal of what it had to offer.

My wife and I booked here on a Tuesday, first time visitors to this venue as several other restaurants we have been to in Brixton were not open all week given it is early in the season. Sadly it has only been rated #24 of 72 eateries in Brixham on TripAdvisor but I am not always reliant on the reviews posted there which sometimes quote spurious criticism by people who have unreasonable expectations (such as not being able to order spag-bol in an Indian restaurant). I was however encouraged by their being the only Brixham restaurant listed in The Good Food Guide and the online booking facility. The decor is a little overwhelming when you first arrive as several variations of a colour I can only describe as Salmon occur in great abundance. but we were greeted pleasantly and efficiently by both of the 2 waitresses who were working that evening and they were able to find most cocktails we could have wanted from their small but well stocked bar area. The menu is very extensive - even though it predominantly features seafood there are a surprising number of dishes available considering there only being a single chef and young "helper". Given that is often a concern when dining in small establishments we were were served our chosen courses of a shared calamari starter, fillet of Brill and Skate wing as mains, all done to absolute perfection. The portions do favour big eaters which perhaps is indicative of the many tourists who flock to Brixham expecting "Yorkshire Portions". There are many other places you can go for fish and chips in this port village but for those wishing to dine on a wide range of seafood prepared skilfully and served with good cheer there can be few rivals.
