​ Makla is an independent, family owned restaurant which opened in late 2018. It has a prime location on the bustling high street of Southbourne, which is only a 10-minute taxi ride from Bournemouth's town centre, and a 5 minute walk to the award winning Bournemouth Beaches.

Once you step foot into Makla, you feel yourself being transported, The colourful handmade Moroccan bags line the high ceilings, giving you an impression of being at the bustling souk of Marrakech.

Makla is well known for the bustling atmosphere and good home cooked food, but we also have our hidden function area downstairs for those wanting a more intimate evening. The private bar serves delicious cocktails, and a selection of wines and Beers from Europe and Morocco.
