Bodean's Old Street in City Road is the destination for seekers after the authentic taste of the great American outdoors. Bodean's big value chow never fails to satisfy the inner urban cowboy and cowgal in search of that great BBQ flavour, complemented by the friendliest and funkiest of welcome. With a menu stretching from the fisheries of New England thru the corrals of Kansas City and downhome kitchens of the Mississippi Delta to the piquant party-in-your-mouth of New Orleans and the marriage made in tastebud heaven where Tex meets Mex, Bodean's prime pork, beef, chicken, shrimp, chili and seriously hearty veggie options are served by a friendly family of staff whose Butts, they boast, are the Best in the West. And when they're not racking ribs, they're pouring the coolest brews between Tijuana and the Arctic Circle. Sounds good? It gets even better as you let your forks and fingers move to the groove of God's own soundtrack where if it ain't rockin', it ain't happenin', and by way of a bonus there is no better place to hang and enjoy big screen sport beamed straight from the US of A - the finest in gridiron, diamond, hoop and puck action - and Prem football to boot!

Nice time with my family. Food was nice but service was a bit slow. But I believe that is due to the fact that the branch was short staffed that day. Had a really lovely waiter nonetheless.

The service was excellent, staff were very friendly and attentive. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and were pleasantly surprised by birthday dessert for the ladies! It was really nice.

Before I start, the rating system here leaves a lot to be desired. 3 stars is 'average' but 4 stars is 'very good' no in-between? Where it says 'very good' I mean 'Good' Went specifically for the lunchtime offer, lunchtime being Noon to 5pm. A rack of ribs, fries and slaw for £10. Well worth the money. Flavoursome juicy ribs coated in a dry rub, with standard sides, sure hit the spot. As part of the offer you can have a pint of the house lager, glass of wine or a refillable soda (one refill only) for an extra £3.50. I opted for the lager. i won't do that again, it was wet and cold, which were it's only plus points. it was light, thin and lacking flavour. Use the money you save on the food and buy a better beer! Service was OK, went in at 4.30 and it looked like the shift change was around 5pm so you can picture the scene but to be honest, all you need is someone to take the order and bring the food to the table then return with the bill when you want to leave and that was all done fairly efficiently and with a smile.
