Housed in the impressive Grade II listed art-deco Alphabeta Building on the corner of Finsbury Square, the restaurant is a whitewashed, high-ceilinged space with understated ornamentation; clean lines and simple forms are partitioned by stunning moveable panels instead of walls. Head Chef Anna Hensen's culinary philosophy is driven by the desire to please and excite the palate by renewing everyday cooking with modern ingredients and global inspiration. The result is a menu that is fresh & contemporary; inspired by a global larder where only the very best ingredients are sourced from all over the world. A stunning 18-seater solid oak bar serves globally inspired tapas plates alongside a range of sherry based cocktails and classic liveners. The dining room offers a full à la Carte, and combines Hollywood banquettes and beautiful walnut tables with specially commissioned hand-blown lamps. For parties and large groups there is a striking private dining room, separated by a tall, deep blue frame with moveable panels, which overlook a large communal table seating up to 24 guests. The Modern Pantry is open from 7:30 for breakfast followed by lunch and dinner. The tapas bar opens daily at 7:30am for coffee and light breakfasts, with tapas served from midday until late.
