I tried out Lime Tree Kitchen for my wedding anniversary dinner. Pleasantly surprised by delicious skinny fries and mixed fish, the salad was absolutely delicious. Salmon sashimi excellent too. Good service, nice busy but intimate setting. We will be returning soon.

My wife considered our meal the best she had ever tasted. I did not go that far, but loved the food.

First came to the Limetree Kitchen with a group of friends on a day out in Lewes. I found this restaurant on the internet and boy what a good find that was! A dozen of we 'Ladies of a Certain Age' had a fantastic meal in early August and it was so good that two of us returned three weeks later. The choice of tapas-type plates is excellent. Never trust a restaurant where there are a 101 things on the menu. A relatively short menu, as at the Limetree, means that care has been taken to choose the ingredients and that they will be fresh. I had the best gazpacho I've had outside Spain and the ceviche is fantastic. I cook a lot and have to admit that their chocolate mousse is better than mine ! The table service is relaxed and cheerful and the chefs also come out to talk to you which is great. We have a lot of good restaurants in south-west London but will make the journey to Lewes again because of the Limetree.
