Fabulous meal. I have an allergy and lots of intolerances! No problem at Lime Tree Kitchen. Thank you all so much.

Great food in a unusual eating environment with plenty to try, in a intimate setting, good for couples

We are at the Limetree on Friday night, and enjoyed salmon, plaice, crab, pork, with a couple of side dishes. We followed with a cheese board, chocolate , and rice pudding. The food was sumptuous, melt-in your-mouth amazing. The staff made us feel at home, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is chilled with nice background music and lighting.

We were a table of three celebrating Christmas over lunch. None of us had been before - we don't live in Lewes - but had been recommended to try this restaurant. This was mid-week in the first week of December. The restaurant was full by 1:30pm and fortunately we had booked a table. The restaurant is located in an early 19th century building which adds to its quirkiness but is cosy and fun quite unlike a lot of other restaurants located in Lewes. This all adds to the friendly atmosphere which you feel as soon as you sit down and start to look around. We had five plates of food, fish and vegetarian, which we shared, and all were delicious and worked well together. We had two bottles of prosecco and the bill came to just over £36 per head which we thought was very good value. We hope to return to the Limetree Kitchen soon.
