Had a lovely evening at the Eddy last night. Nothing was too much trouble. Great food, service & atmosphere. Had a great time thanks to Gez & his team.

A group of us came to try out the tapas at The Eddy on Saturday! We were not disappointed, it was DELICIOUS! We had a variety of different foods and our favourite dishes were: aubergine, breaded pork, calamari and chicken wings. The only criticism being, the beef was a little bit chewy. We arrived at 2 and the pub was pretty empty, this could have been due to the freeezing cold weather. The service was great, friendly and informative about the menu. We were all pleasantly surprised when the bill came and it was 15£ inc. tip each for the 6 of us, even though we bought LOTS of food! We will definitely return for more yummy tapas.

I had heard that the roasts.at.the.eddy were legendary so I had to go, I booked a table online because.i new it would be busy. I arrived and ordered my meal, but was disappointed to find only have the menu was available (only 2 outta 4 mains), I wanted lamb, but you had none, nor beef. So I had the pork belly and it was amazing. It came with a side of crispy potatoes, glazed carrots, cauliflower cheese and cabbage with bacon, plus a small Yorkshire pudding. Everything tasted unreal, it definitely lived up to the hype. So the only reason this isn't 5 stars is that the menu wasn't fully available and the Yorkshire was a bit on the small side. Would definitely eat here again.

Arrived early, table was free which was great. Grabbed a bottle of prosecco - but weren't offered a cooler. Ordered the pork belly with crackling. It arrived and we weren't offered salt and peper or any condiments which we had to find these ourselves as the uncomunicative waitress had gone. The pork was 1/2 fat and there was no crackling. We sent the food back and were told they only now had chicken left - beef, pork and lamb was all gone even though the place wasn't full. But strangely we did get more pork. Still no crackling. They had make an effort to re do the veg - which looked much better than the first time. A bit later we asked if we could have a desrt and they had closed the kitchen. No one had said and it doesn't say anywhere the time they stopped serving. The manager said why should we tell customers! Given we had had to send our food back, you would think they would ask us if we would like a desrt or let us know the kitchen was going to close. The food was pretty nice second time around, the service was ok, we weren't offered any discount or a free desrt. as a sweeterner. So pretty unimpressed and won't be coming back. We had booked Xmas dinner, which have cancelled.
