The Jolly Sportsman

Nestled at the foot of the South Downs National Park, The Jolly Sportsman has been serving some of the best food and wine in Sussex for more than 20 years. Our cooking philosophy is one of classical techniques married with local, seasonal produce, creating a constantly evolving menu.

We have a daily delivery of fresh fish caught off the Sussex coast, and all our meat is sourced from local butchers and farms. We bake our own bread daily, and our pastry chef also makes some wonderfully comforting desserts. We have a stunning garden to dine in during the spring and summer, and cosy indoor dining with two fires for the colder months.

The Jolly Sportsman is located in some of the most beautiful countryside, and there are plenty of lovely walks in the area. The two walks below are probably more for the keenest of walkers, but if you just want to park up, take a brief stroll and work up an appetite just ask us and we can point you in the right direction.
