La Perle
La Perle is a family owned British restaurant serving seasonal dishes made from locally sourced produce. You may remember Chef Sam Hughes from when he represented Milford-on-Sea in the TV series Professional Master Chef a few years ago. He has recently returned to the village and is now the proud owner of his first restaurant, La Perle.
As a young chef, Sam trained under Raymond Blanc, who continues to follow Sam’s career closely and has been a positive influence on him over the years. It was during his time spent with monsieur Blanc that Sam developed his passion for using local, sustainable produce in his seasonal dishes. The result can be seen in the menus, where everything is made from scratch in the restaurant, from the bread and butter to the ice creams and sorbets.
The New Forest is a key source of many of Sam’s ingredients with over 90% of his produce sourced from sustainable suppliers in Hampshire and Dorset.
This beautiful restaurant overlooks the village green and is only five minutes walk from the seaside.
