The brand new, relaxed fine dining restaurant doors are always open to welcome Hotel Residents and Non-Residents. Guests can start their day right with Breakfast over unmissable views from the huge south facing windows. Breakfast serving times are 7.30am till 10.30am Monday – Friday and 8am till 10.45am Saturday – Sunday.
There will always be something to tickle your taste buds with whether you choose to lunch or dine at Restaurant 1865 . The all day Menu is served from 12pm till 9pm.
On Sundays, the famous Sunday Lunch is served 12 – 9pm. Reservations are essential as they are ever so popular! Sunday Brunch is served from 12pm till 4pm.

My partner and l had Sunday lunch today. The roast turkey was lovely and then we decided to have the baked alaska which is for 2 people.Wow,such a lovely desert and so big,enough for 4! Decor and ambience was lovely.All staff polite but a special shout out to JOAO who went the extra mile,polite,friendly and enthusiastic. We will be back.

I was having lunch with an old friend who I hadn't seen for a year. Both the young waiter and more experienced waitress gave us plenty of time to enjoy our lunch and were very knowledgeable about the menu and happy to discuss our food choices. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch, beautiful surroundings and excellent service - I will certainly be back. Thank you :)

The food and service was superb, we were very happy. The only thing I would say is that the saxophonist, as great as he was, it was to loud if you were sat near him which we were and so we couldn't hear each other chatting, possibly turn volume down of ghe amp?

They didn't have our booking down as afternoon tea. Then when we were seated I reminded 2 member's of staff I was vegetarian. Afternoon tea arrived. Not vegetarian sandwiches. One member of staff went back to check. The other lady took sandwiches away saying I told them you were vegetarian. I paid the bill on leaving. But as I was going another member of staff approached me saying did you have a voucher or something. Insinuation that I had not paid. For the cost I won't be returning.

Despite getting a confirmation on the day - our party of 10 for afternoon tea wasn’t expected - due to a change in their booking system apparently - our fault ?? Anyway - they cobbled together some mediocre sandwiches at best and gave us a choice of dessert from the menu as they had no cakes, gave us 20% discount plus some free Prosecco - however - we still paid £20 each plus drinks for a very disappointing and far from excellent ‘meal’ which left us all still hungry and sad that our special celebration was all but ruined. The staff were very pleasant and apologetic but unfortunately that did nothing to make amends for their error ……. 10 very disappointed and disillusioned customers sadly ….
