On holiday in the area. Had a £41 fillet steak, very nice it was. But it only came with chips, none of the usual mushroom. Grilled tomatoes, onion rings ETC. They never told me it came just on its own. For the money whats the cost of a few items that most restraunts give you.

Visited recently as It had been on our to do list for some time. There were some good points but also some mixed ones. Firstly the service was bit slow, very friendly staff mind and they did explain they were a man down so to speak. One big no no is seeing the chef outside having a smoke, pretty revolting to know that the same chef will be handling your food. I would also add that he seemed to be wearing a lot of food on his clothing and shoes, again it doesn't particularly fill you with confidence that hygiene levels are particularly high. The food its self was OK but for the price we paid I wanted something a bit more on the quality wise. When you pay £38 for a ribeye steak your expecting good things, my steak was ok but nothing amazing. The peppercorn sauce was gloopy and straight out of a container for sure. The chips were lovely but the sides were pretty poor, it felt like not much love had gone into anything. My wife had the sea food lasagne which was again ok but was very heavy on the peas, way, way too many, there must of been a whole tin. Also very small amounts of seafood for the price we paid. Starters were nice and probably the nicest part of the meal which was a shame. The waitress was very good though and brought us out an anniversary desert which was a lovely touch. Its a lovely pub for sure but I would want to see some improvements food wise before I would recommend.

The best!!! We drove 45mins for our first visit here as it was recommended by a friend. Decor was beautiful, lovely inside and out. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. All 3 courses we ordered were amazing. We absolutely loved it. So much so that on our way home we have booked to go again for our anniversary. We will most definitely be recommending it to friends and family.
