Great atmosphere, fabulous tasty food and very helpful staff. Add to that the great position on the harbour. Heaven.

Really enjoyed both the accommodation and food here. Huge, stylish room with everything you need. If anything, minibar and fresh milk would be good; however, the bar is downstairs, so not far to go! Food and drinks excellent and, overall, it was a surprisingly hipster kinda place. Definitely come again. Thanks

We are regulars here and have been since The Moon opened 10 years ago. From time to time we will book a table to dip into the extensive menu, either for Bank Holiday lunch or a weekend dinner. We are always so well looked after by all the team behind the bar and in the kitchen. Some of the items on the menu might not be our favourites but there are always excellent fish and chips, steaks and burgers to enjoy when not feeling more adventurous. We shared some spicy calamari to start this time then had chicken tacos and skewers for the main, all matched to a very well priced bottle of Gavi. On a night when it's just a drink we want, there are huge selections of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails to please everyone. Last but definitely not least, the view of old Whitby across the harbour from The Moon is undoubtedly one of the best in Britain, especially as the sun sets on a summer's evening. Highly recommended.

I originally booked a table for four for a Saturday evening as it was my birthday and we were staying in Whitby . Unbeknown to me family were also travelling up to surprise me . The staff were more than accommodating and allowed us to change the booking to nine persons ... then to eleven !! Nothing was too much trouble and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The cocktails were superb and the food was amazing !! I could not recommend this restaurant enough !!!

I will start with the positive the food is absolutely outstanding. But on the down side I think they could do with extra staff as service started well but once the main course was served the waits got longer and longer. Also having to pay at the bar made it so slow as it took a good 15 minutes just to pay. So in conclusion one or two extra members of staff and it would have been 5 stars as I can’t praise the food enough best ever.
