Located in the old Roman town of Towcester, the Saracen’s Head hotel has long been a centrepiece of Towcester life. The hotel dates back over 400 years and even features in Charles Dickens’ first novel – The Pickwick Papers. The bar and restaurant offer a charming environment to enjoy English classics such as Bangers & Mash or Fish & Chips, perfectly accompanied with a glass of wine, a cask ale or a premium beer. With 21 en-suite bedrooms, the Saracen’s Head features traditional characteristics alongside modern-day comforts where guests can expect excellent standards of comfort and service.

I took 15 members of the U3A into lunch on Friday 7th July. We were made to feel very welcome, service was excellent and food very good. Am taking another group this week.
