Located near the Thames, this former post office has been lovingly restored to combine comfort and style with a relaxed atmosphere. A traditional bar area with intimate seating merges into a light, contemporary restaurant with a courtyard garden. The menus feature Mediterranean-inspired food and modern British dishes, offering an appetising range of dishes to suit all tastes, from breakfast, bar snacks and light lunches to casual and formal dining. The restaurant menu is changed twice yearly to reflect seasonal change, and features contemporary dishes as well as classic favourites. There is also a daily specials board with imaginative dishes, including fish dish of the day. A unique charcoal Josper oven infuses a delicious chargrilled flavour to fresh meat and fish dishes, supplemented by colourful salads and tasty pasta dishes. All the meat is of premium quality, 100% British and sourced from Aubrey Allen, who won 'Ethical Meat Supplier of the Year' three times. The pork, chicken and eggs are all free range and the beef is dry-aged on the bone for 21 days to tenderise the meat and intensify the flavour. Benefiting from an open kitchen running the length of the restaurant, you can enjoy watching the dishes being prepared to order. The Old Post Office also offers a special children's menu and caters for a range of dietary requirements.
