The Team at Las Iguanas live for food, and to bring food alive – with an irresistible bolt of Latin American energy. The chefs add carefully sourced ingredients from around the world, to conjure delicious, authentic South American food, made with passion, love and lots of Latin magic. The result is food that pulses with its exotic 16th Century roots – a mouth-watering confusion of native Latin American Indian, Spanish, Portuguese and African influences. Las Iguanas is an adventure. Discover new tastes, fall in love with new favourites – and feel the warmth and welcome of South America. As soon as you step through the doors, you open yourself to the colour, chaos and charm of Latin America. Every restaurant is unique and filled with different treasures brought back from many visits, from a piece of artisan furniture to a special dish on the menu. Las Iguanas insists on using fresh ingredients in their kitchens and make over 30 salsas and sauces by hand each day. The menu is fully inclusive with a choice of halal and non-halal dishes, gluten free dishes and a separate vegetarian and vegan menu. The chicken, lamb, mutton and turkey are halal in all the restaurants, other meats are not halal including beef, duck and chorizo.

Wen’t for a night out on Saturday. Had a fantastic night with great music and drinks served, further into the night a misunderstanding occurred, whereby I had knocked and turned a knob connected to the wall, that said “Bar” above. I was unaware that this was the speaker system that connected to the speakers behind the bar which caused the volume of the music to be turned down, and was met with immediate aggression from the bar staff and security team. Upon trying to explain to the 4 Security members surrounding me that It was a complete accident and apologised for my slip up, I was then dragged outside arm in arm with two of the bouncers, and thrown out of the club away from my friends. To be met with an onslaught of verbal aggression and abuse from the “Security team”, as I calmly tried to explain my side of the story, I was dismissed aside by the bouncers. Telling me that I was “Stupid and a F****** idiot” and that “Turning down the music is the same as stealing from the Till” for what I had done. I met them with no aggression whatsoever and profusely apologised calmly again that it was not intentional, the mistake that I had done. To which they responded with that I was only aloud back into the club to retrieve my belongings, and was to then be kicked out, and not to return. Furthermore, the Bouncers then met my friends, whom had come to check if I was ok with verbal abuse and aggression. With even one of the bouncers threatening to confront a friend physically, unless he “Shut his mouth” An abysmal approach from the bouncers and bar staff alike, to what could have been a situation resolved in a much more peaceful manor, instead was dealt with verbal abuse, intimidation and unnecessary physical force. Ruining what was a fantastic night with friends.
