Extra space at table last minute - much appreciated. Very attentive service all evening. Table kept clear of clutter without interfering with group enjoyment of evening. Quick service for all 3 courses. No complaints from any of 7 guests all with differing food orders. Any meals that were not available were advised well before we ordered. Excellent value for money. Only point of non enjoyment of evening was loud barking dog for while. Not in favour of animals in food establishments but was not aware it was dog friendly zone. Would recommend but with warning of dogs allowed.

Booked my mum’s wake on recommendation of someone who had suggested it as Avenue and as I had been there a few times with mum including her 80th birthday thought it a good choice. I ordered the traditional buffet menu with sandwiches, sausage rolls, pasties, scones, clotted cream, jam and chocolate cake with tea and coffee. The tea and coffee was laid out ready for our arrival and then the sandwiches were brought out, it was nice to have each filling in brown and white bread with lots of selections. Everyone commented on how nice the food was and especially enjoyed the chocolate cake. The leftovers were nicely packed up for taking home and we did not feel pressured to vacate the room until we were ready too. Many thanks to all the staff from kitchen to serving.

We have been once before this time we went for Easter Day with our two young kids. You wouldn't have known here as everything was the same as any normal Sunday. The atmosphere was fine, the food was ok- the duck salad starter was delicious. My sirloin beef was really chewy, turkey was ok, Yorkshire puds were hard & cold & roast potatoes were also hard, not much gravy, had to ask for steak knife, disappointing. 5yr old found kids pizza too rich due to type of cheese. Kids burger was gobbled up by 7yr old. The kids enjoyed romping in the kids play area.

From booking a table on line to arriving and being made so welcomed. Super table by the window. Excellent hot food. Enjoyed the ambiance and food and of course the company.
