The Wheatsheaf has recently undergone a top to bottom refurbishment to enhance the heritage of this lovely 200 year old public house, including an extension at the back of the pub to create a light and spacious dining area. This is a smart community pub with great fresh food where eaters and drinkers alike are looked after with the same friendly and professional service. The Wheatsheaf is independently-owned and individually-styled, casual enough to be comfortable, smart enough to feel special, and serves delicious, freshly prepared food all day - great for a snack, business lunch or casual supper. A private dining room seating up to 16 guests is also available for that special dinner. The restaurant is cool in summer with alfresco dining and a lovely sunny terrace and cosy in winter with a real fire and deep, snug armchairs & sofas with newspapers to read and WiFi for work. There is a car park and bicycle rack and the pub is only a mile walk from Esher British Rail station which has a direct link to Surbiton, Clapham Junction and London Waterloo. Sandown Racecourse is just around the corner, so it is also the perfect venue for pre-race or conference lunch.
