The Mountbattens patronised Quaglino's, Evelyn Waugh came for lunch, and the smart set crowded into the bar hoping for a table. When the Prince of Wales (later, briefly, Edward VIII) took a liking to the place, the fame of John Quaglino's restaurant was assured. This iconic restaurant and late-night venue in the heart of London's Mayfair has undergone an extensive make over and brings a new contemporary European menu, designed by Executive Head Chef Mickael Weiss, offering a master-class in European classics, with a nod towards Middle Eastern spicing, using the highest quality British ingredients. Quaglino's comes complete with not one but two bars, both serving a variety of innovative drinks, including infusions and showcasing new techniques. From 10pm, the restaurant transforms into an entertainment mecca, showcasing music icons, renowned DJs and a resident house bands.
