Veeraswamy

Having been founded by the great grandson of an English General and an Indian Princess in the year Queen Elizabeth was born, 1926, it is important to respect this history. To this end we have maintained a classic menu based on traditional recipes with an intrinsic understanding of fine-tuning tastes of the 21st century. Our food aims to comfort as well as inspire and satisfy the demanding palate of our diners. It is not only the food that is elegant and princely, it is also the lavish interiors, where we have enjoyed preserving and evolving an environment that evokes the opulent extravagance displayed in the Maharajas Palaces in the 1920's. By marrying the style of the interiors with the menu, along with the lauded legacy and the gracious service, we believe that we offer a slice of wondrously haute India in the heart of London's premier West End. With a rich and scintillating history, Veeraswamy has been know as a legendary landmark amongst the well-healed, worldwide royalty, and International gourmets, for eight and a half celebrated decades. It is also excellently located for pre and post theatre dinners, for high-end shoppers as well as for tourists; being a short stroll from the famous theatres of the West End and positioned, with outstanding raised views, above the illustrious Regent Street.
