Tap and Tandoor is the newest addition to Solihull’s growing food and drink scene. This ‘Indian Gastro Pub’, which has undergone a significant investment and transformation, is Solihull's new home of sport with multiple TV screens showing all the sporting action alongside craft beers and Indian food favourites - such as hearty mixed grills, home-style curries and some of the street-food dishes that have made sister restaurant Zindiya in Moseley such a success. Alongside the craft beer and food offering, Tap and Tandoor has converted the upstairs living accommodation into 4 private areas where sports fans can watch games with their friends, complete with table service and even order their food for half time throughout all of the big games. There are plans later in the summer to convert the roof of the pub into an outside drinks terrace. Owner Ajay Kenth realised that there was nowhere in Solihull he could go out for a great, casual meal, a wide range of quality beers and a relaxed atmosphere. He has called Tap & Tandoor an ‘Indian gastro pub’ as he believes in delivering the best quality food, drink and experience. Tap and Tandoor is Solihull town centre’s only independent pub and it is something that the team are keen to emphasise with local beers, produce and suppliers being used across the board.

The food was very good, from the curries to mixed grills. A free pint for Dad's as it was Father 's day was a most welcome surprise. The staff here were amazingly friendly and helpful. Tables were clean and spacious. I would definately recommend the Tap and Tandoor and will certainly be re visiting myself.

Tasty food although portions could have been a bit larger for the price.Lamb curry was a bit mean on the actual Lamb.Decent pint of Big Wave but seems a bit pricey at £4:75.

We tried the tandoori platter alongside some sides and it was SO good! Although it was a Saturday night the service was top top also. Really like the pub / Indian vibe this place has got. Would definitely recommend

We were a party of 6 (3 couples) of which 2 had never been to the restaurant before and were looking forward to it due to our recommendation. Our orders were taken and read back to us by the waiter. After a short wait, 4 main meals came to the table and we started eating, assuming that the remaining 2 meals would follow plus a naan bread which was being shared by another couple. However, they didn't and we had to remind the waiter of the missing meals. We were told that they hadn't been ordered despite the waiter initially reading back the order at the start!! The remaining 2 meals and naan bread finally came but the couple who had ordered the naan bread had finished eating their meals ! By this time the hot dining plates brought to the table had lost their heat and were cold. Overall, food tasty as was expected, but service extremely poor. Sadly, none of us would be in a hurry to return.
