Tap and Tandoor is the newest addition to Solihull’s growing food and drink scene. This ‘Indian Gastro Pub’, which has undergone a significant investment and transformation, is Solihull's new home of sport with multiple TV screens showing all the sporting action alongside craft beers and Indian food favourites - such as hearty mixed grills, home-style curries and some of the street-food dishes that have made sister restaurant Zindiya in Moseley such a success. Alongside the craft beer and food offering, Tap and Tandoor has converted the upstairs living accommodation into 4 private areas where sports fans can watch games with their friends, complete with table service and even order their food for half time throughout all of the big games. There are plans later in the summer to convert the roof of the pub into an outside drinks terrace. Owner Ajay Kenth realised that there was nowhere in Solihull he could go out for a great, casual meal, a wide range of quality beers and a relaxed atmosphere. He has called Tap & Tandoor an ‘Indian gastro pub’ as he believes in delivering the best quality food, drink and experience. Tap and Tandoor is Solihull town centre’s only independent pub and it is something that the team are keen to emphasise with local beers, produce and suppliers being used across the board.

Beer good, although unfiltered Purity session comes out cloudy which will not be to everyone's liking- tastes excellent though and not ill effects. Food was superb. Great tandoori sharing platter - highlight lamb chops! Curries - lamb keema cooked hotter was delicious - not mouth burning, just right. Homestyle chicken curry also lovely. Portions not too big which suits having a few beers. Overall very pleasant all round.

Booked a table for 5:30 because the last time we called in at this time the place was packed and we could'nt get a meal, however on this occasion it was very quiet, perhaps because people had gone away for easter. The staff were their usual polite and friendly selves. The food was excellent and I had a very nice pint of stout,my wife had a glass of red wine which she said was good. I would recommend the Tap and Tandoor for quality and also for something a little different from the usual curry restaurants that are in Solihull.

Our visit to this venue was very relaxed and had a great atmosphere. There was a nice variety of ales and the food was tasty with some original items on the menu. I’d go back again.

Couldn't fault anything at Tap and Tandoor. Had the paneer naan to start and salmon tikka for main. Both were freshly made and tasted gorgeous. Very friendly staff. Fab selection of drinks and the place had a nice buzzing atmosphere. Would definitely go back...really enjoyed it.
