We had a lovely breakfast, well presented and knowledgeable staff. Then onto a 2 hour river trip in a self driven (sure there is correct terminology for that). All felt very safe with the the steering quite quickly understood. Wood do everything again without a doubt and reasonable value for money

We had a lovely time. Service impeccable, such lovely staff, very attentive. It was two of our tables birthdays and they really enjoyed there meals. Cant fault the setting either, looking out over the river just lovely. We will definitely be returning again soon. No problems.!

A party of 16 of us celebrated 3 family birthdays on Sunday 10th August. We hired 4 x boats for an hour and a half followed by lunch at Riverside. We couldn't fault the service we had from both the boat hire staff and the restaurant staff. We would have no hesitation in recommending the experience to anyone else. It was the perfect venue for a family occasion.

I don't enjoy giving a negative review but we were told there was a 30 minute wait for food which turned into an hour & 10 minute wait! Perhaps an offer of a free drink or a deduction off the bill might have been a nice gesture. The ploughman's had a tiny piece of bread & a small slab of cheese so again disappointing. I am not in the habit of giving a poor review, but it is an honest one. Sorry
