The Partridge Inn
The Partridge Inn is set within the picturesque Goodwood Estate in the South Downs village of Singleton near Chichester, West Sussex. The building dates back to the 16th century when it would have been owned by the rich and powerful Fitzalan Earls of Arundel. They kept a huge hunting park which took in the whole of Singleton, Charlton and East Dean. In 1732 the Duke of Richmond – another great hunting man – became the owner of the Fox and Hounds Inn. The property included a brew house, barn, stable and a large garden.
Today the Partridge Inn is transformed into a warm local pub with great character at its heart. Expect a friendly welcome, a relaxed atmosphere and great food served under the eye of its new owner Giles Thompson, past executive head chef of the Ritz London.
