The Royal Oak Inn

The award-winning Royal Oak in East Lavant is an 18th Century English country restaurant and pub serving real ale. The menu unashamedly reflects a love of interesting, contemporary food: every dish is crafted with its own unique twists that let its flavours sing out, created from locally sourced ingredients. The Royal Oak uses the abundant supply of local fresh produce in all their dishes – fresh fish caught and delivered daily from the South Coast, as well as locally smoked salmon and Selsey crab, venison and pheasant managed by a local herdsman. The ice cream is made locally so is as much of the cheeses as possible. Even the ale is locally brewed near Arundel. The right wine makes a good meal into a great one and on offer are nearly 100 wines from both the Old and New Worlds, so you can pick a style, blend and vintage that will match your food to perfection - or you may prefer a pint freshly drawn from the cask or champagne cider.
