My son and I booked in for our first ever Xmas lunch away from home in56years as my husband had died the previous year. We were so looking forward to a Christmas lunch. We found the service to be good but alas the food of the main course was really dreadful. The round slices of turkey were obviously heated from frozen as were the potatoes and the sprouts had not been cooked at all just heated, as with all the vegetables. Why not fresh turkey which is what we and others were expecting. As we were ready to go we were offered a mince pie each which we accepted. It was rock hard and very cold. All in all a most unpleasant Xmas lunch. All presented warmed up from frozen. What a disappointment.
