I’ve eaten several times in / outside this beautiful pub. Food was its usual high standard, service unfortunately not. One member of waiting staff aside, other staff lacked friendliness & we had to ask a few times for basics as no one returned to check all ok with food, drink .. so unusually have been obliged to mark down our experience this occasion. Hopefully just a blip..

Called in for a quick lunch before visiting nearby Caisson gardens. We were a bit late, but the staff were very helpful. It’s a lovely looking pub and the terrace is charming. We enjoyed our excellent ham, egg and chips/ risotto. Hope to return.

Spontaneous date night supper, we enjoyed G&Ts on the terrace whilst deciding what to have. The food and service were great - so lovely to have this great pub local to us.

We recently celebrated our wedding at The Wheatsheaf with our family and it was absolutely perfect! We were a party of 25, ages ranging from 4 to 78. The food was gorgeous and the service was superb! The staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to meet our requests. We enjoyed time eating inside and spent time relaxing in the garden afterwards, while the children played. I am very grateful to the James and his team for giving us such a great experience! We look forward to returning very soon, but for a quiet meal for two! Please say a big thank you to the chefs!
