Stag & Hounds

Come join our passion for food, wine and laughter
The Stag & Hounds has always been a focal point for the village of Binfield, conveniently situated between Binfield and Warfield and has for many years been known for its fine fare and hospitality. We hope that you will find that this long tradition of quality food, fine beers and great service continues and improves.

Muddy paws are welcome too both the two and four leg variety, and there are plenty of quiet corners where they can watch the comings and goings… and there are some great walks right on the doorstep, perfect for letting off a bit of steam before a feast.

You can choose a table in the main dining area or enjoy a quieter spot in one of the more intimate character corners… and if you’re lucky enough you may even be able to bag the top spot by our roaring open fire, the perfect spot to plot up on a chilly day…

One thing is for certain, whenever you choose to dine with us, we can guarantee you will enjoy amazing food in a relaxing, friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the Stag & Hounds Binfield.

Title says it all really... Sunday roasts and all the other food ordered was lovely. The service was abysmally slow, and whilst everyone was nice and apologetic, that couldn't cover the fact that we were kept waiting for ages at every stage. We weren't eating anything until well over an hour after sitting down. Didn't bother getting desserts which we probably would have done normally. We won't rush back there which is a shame because previously (not on a weekend) it has been perfect.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch here yesterday with my family (wife, daughter and grand-daughter of 18 months) Everything we had was absolutely delicious, despite the pub being full of diners! We will be visiting more often following our experience!

We booked a table for two at 3pm. Having arrived on time we managed to get inside the door, just, to be welcomed by a lady calling has anyone got a table booking? Having managed to push forward to speak to her we were told our table wasn’t ready yet! This message was delivered each time until we were finally seated at 3.50PM. We had visited to check the Sunday lunch for a visit with friends later in the month. I would add that when we were finally seated we noted that almost half the tables were empty. The food was good, the service reasonable but we will not be returning on a Sunday.

Had a fantastic lunch at The Stag & Hounds. Brilliant food, service and atmosphere. Helen and the rest of the team were so amazing, attentive and we all enjoyed ourselves. Definitely be back and can highly recommend it.
