Bucca Restaurant

The name of the restaurant, 'Bucca' takes inspiration from an English and a West African cultural reference, reflecting the duality of restaurant owners' heritage. Bucca was the name of the 7th century leader who settled the first Saxons to the area and from whom the town of Buckingham takes its name. Buka – (same pronunciation, different spelling) is the Nigerian name given to a simple eating establishment. Taking residence in the former Halibut's stone-clad, two story dwelling, the restaurant is situated on two floors and offers two distinct dining experiences. The ground floor Pantry - A modern casual dining space to meet, greet and drink -serving deliciously simple food and baked goods that celebrate artisan food producers. The first floor Dining Room - offering an intimate and relaxed atmosphere with an elegant brasserie-style menu. Bucca serves contemporary European food with a dash of inspiration and sophistication from further flung climes.
