‘MIYA’ is a Japanese grill and bar, in Aylesbury Buckinghamshire. It is the ideal meeting place for food and drinks, whatever your occasion. The perfect destination to enjoy unique refreshment in fun and vibrant surroundings.
The concept is an ‘Izakaya’ (居酒屋) style of casual dining and drinking. The Team at ‘MIYA’ are committed to delivering a fun, elegant, informal dining experience based around Japanese traditions. Dishes are designed to be shared at the table or enjoyed individually.
The dishes are created using authentic Japanese flavours with a contemporary twist. The finest ingredients and exquisite presentation result in the highest quality cuisine combined with simple elegance.

This listed building is full of character and a great surrounding for any meal out. Bucks County Council were keen that the building kept its original feel and that is what has happened with the new restaurant. Original features like an old safe and the Sergeant’s booking desk have been kept to provide interest and intrigue for all. Kelvin (an experienced chef of over 20 years) and his wife Nikki are passionate about food and aim to provide a culinary experience that can be enjoyed by all who visit.

The restaurant, affectionately named after their eldest daughter Miya, is of Japanese style based on the ‘Robatayaki’ method which is similar to BBQ cooking. There is an open kitchen which adds to the ambience of the restaurant and provides a multisensory experience for all.
