The Eight Bells
The Eight Bells has seen many changes over the years, yet still retains the charm and character of a village pub. Originally licensed in 1607 and called The Five Bells, in keeping at that time with the number of bells in the church tower, its name was changed to The Eight Bells in 1771 with the addition of three more bells in the Church!
Located in the quintessentially English village of Long Crendon, The Eight Bells sits in the Vale of Aylesbury. The village is host to the medieval Long Crendon Courthouse, owned by the National Trust, with many other attractions nearby such as Waddesdon Manor. Its picturesque cottages and period architecture made Long Crendon a favourite location for the popular Midsomers Murders television programme.
Come in and enjoy our charming pub where you will find a warm welcome from our friendly staff.
Our doors are open to everyone including children and well-behaved dogs.
