The Flying Boat

The Flying Boat is named after the Royal Naval Air Station that was based on Tresco in World War One. The aircraft patrolled the Western Approaches, hunting German U-boats. If you look out of the seafront windows you can see the rails on which the flying boats were wheeled down to the sea. During the day, the offering is one of drinks, snacks and light lunches. The Flying Boat is also open for dinner three evenings a week, with local produce and fresh fish at the heart of the menu. Evening reservations are advisable and a children's menu is available.
