The Castle Inn (Lydford)

A traditional 16th century inn of great character resting on the fringes of Dartmoor National park, the Castle Inn offers open fires and a cosy and welcoming atmosphere whether you are popping in for a quick drink, cream tea, snack, dining in the bar or restaurant or staying for the night. The menus offer a variety of traditional home-cooked food prepared with care and attention to detail. The kitchen uses local produce in the majority of their dishes and can accommodate most dietary requirements. There is a charming beer garden to the rear of the inn offering views to the historic Lydford Castle, a prison in medieval times.
