Nestled in the heart of Brighton’s South Laines, Balinese House is a cozy, family-run haven where the warmth of home cooking meets the vibrancy of Southeast Asian street food. Run by Mum (Lorena) & Dad (Chandra)— who bring cherished family recipes and hospitality —every dish is a love letter to their favourite foods: expect fragrant curries simmered to perfection; crispy tempura that melts in your mouth; and soul-warming noodle bowls packed with spice and umami. With a welcoming, rustic space and the comforting hum of an open kitchen that feels like home, Balinese House is all about sharing good food, good company, and a little taste of family tradition.

We’ve found our forever home here in Pool Valley, with a bustling & established restaurant scene. Come summer, the restaurant will spill out onto a spacious terrace a stones throw from the shore, and a warm interior for the colder months.
