Dalla Terra

Located in the heart of Covent Garden, Dalla Terra is an urbane, contemporary take on the Italian enoteca. Our team loves both the classic and contemporary aspects of Italian food and wine, so with Dalla Terra we set out to bring the old into a modern but intimate setting. Dalla Terra pays homage to the roots of the classic enoteca, as the bar's name translates literally as “from the earth”. Dalla Terra brings simple, tasty food and a well-conceived wine list into an urbane, boutique setting. The wine list includes over 200 wines by the bottle and over 30 by the glass, including a selection of premier wines. As an enoteca – an Italian wine shop or off-license – bottles can be enjoyed on premise or at home. Dalla Terra offers coffees, teas and pastries for breakfast and simple pan-regional Italian dishes for lunch and dinner. Based on “La Cucina Povera”, the Italian precursor to today's fashionable Slow Food movement, our menu is designed around fresh seasonal produce and artisanal products. The dishes are mostly small and light, complementing our wines. So as to pair wines with the best possible dishes, our philosophy is to bring into our kitchen inspiring chefs from some of the most acclaimed restaurants in the world. Chef Araldo De Vitis – previously at the renowned St Johns Restaurant & Bar and Hereford Restaurant – was with us when we opened Dalla Terra and helped launch our first menu offering. Chef Araldo has now handed over the reigns to Chef Eros Malara of the Michelin-starred Jean Restaurant in Paris and the famed La Rosetta in Rome. Chef Eros has brought his unique culinary experience to Dalla Terra's menu, offering new flavoursome dishes based on carefully chosen ingredients and skilled preparation.
