The King's Head (Chipping Ongar)
The King's Head is a beautiful 17th-century pub, restored with great care – but it is also a thoroughly modern meeting place, right in the heart of the town of Chipping, Ongar, with plenty of parking.
The decked outdoor space is a lovely spot to enjoy a few drinks, or even alfresco dining when the weather is right. The carefully considered food menu is as fresh, characterful and well-sourced as it can possibly be. There is plenty to discover on the Mediterranean-influenced menu, from hand-made pizzas to pasta, fish, meat and sharing platters.
