Our chef
Chef Yianni pelekanos, menu consists of mouth watering dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationship with its traditional home cooked food. Head chef Pelekanos has been cooking for over 20 years and has previously been cooking within the USA and Canada, his signature dish being with fish. Just like traditional Armenian food which is “seasonal”, Pelekanos uses the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats, herbs and spices available at that time and locally sourced.
Cooking Techniques
Armenians love dishes cooked over a barbeque mainly of meat, fish and vegetables.
The traditional cooking techniques we use can be very complicated as we put a lot of time and effort into the preparation which involves, whipping, stuffing and making puree and adding our spices and greens.

Well I'd booked a meal in advance of our visit to Bakewell but got no further than the table before asking my companion if she would rather go somewhere else! The place was grubby, the staff, especially one female seemed more interested in making crude comments with the regulars than welcoming us. If you & your tattooed friends want to take your ex bully dog & a couple of kids for a noisy night out then this is the place for you. I thought if front of house is this awful what must the kitchen be like? I wouldn't rate it any stars but I couldn't proceed with the review otherwise.
