The Cross FoXes Bar and Grill Rooms is nestled at the foot of Cadair Idris Mountain and 4 miles from the historic town of Dolgellau, South Snowdonia. This newly refurbished Grade II listed building offers the perfect opportunity to relax, indulge and explore the Welsh Mountains, Coast and Heritage and is graded as Gold (exceptional) by Visit Wales and recognised by the Good Food Guide 2012 & 2013. The Cross Foxes is fortunate to be surrounded by an abundance of natural food sources - from the Welsh rivers, the nearby coast as well as the many hard-working Welsh farmers and local artisan producers. This means it is fantastically well placed to offer guests the finest locally sourced food and drink to ensure the freshest, highest quality and seasonal food. To The Cross Foxes, the food is all about taste, quality and locally sourced wherever possible. The chefs create simple, freshly prepared, handmade dishes, presented imaginatively, where the ingredients can speak for themselves. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served seven days a week and cater for vegetarians, children and people with special dietary requirements. Specially designed quick bites for people on the move, or just a cup of fresh coffee or afternoon tea are also available. The Grill is a big feature in the dining room – the chefs prepare everything from scratch right in front of you in the open kitchen, turning eating into a more entertaining experience, which adds to a great atmosphere. More than that, the grill is the best way to appreciate and taste totally fresh, high quality meat and fish – not to mention a healthier, lighter touch which is good for all of us. The bar has been designed to create a stylish, warm welcome providing a social, friendly, relaxing environment – for meeting friends or enjoying a special occasion. The well stocked bar and cellars offers an extensive selection of classic and eclectic wines from all over the world, as well as a mouthwatering array of bottled beers and ales, many sourced from regional and micro-breweries in the area. The Cross FoXes Bar and Grill Rooms have been awarded with a prestigious award by the Alistair Sawday's Special Pub with Rooms and voted by The Independent 2012 as one of Britain's Top 50 Country Pubs.
