The Oyster Catcher

Located by the sandy dunes of Rhosneigr, just a few minutes’ walk from the award winning Broad Beach (Traeth Llydan), The Oyster Catcher is a fantastic beach side destination, overlooking the dunes, to enjoy a meal from the seasonal menu that features the best of British cuisine and showcases the pub’s relationship with local farms and producers, from award-winning local family butchers to oysters freshly harvested from the Menai. Visitors to The Oyster Catcher are welcome to drop by and enjoy a cold pint of craft ale in the downstairs beach bar or a meal in one of our heated beach huts overlooking Rhosneigr’s sand dunes. The formal dining area also offers the perfect setting for special group gatherings or romantic occasions.

If you don't like dogs in eateries, this is not for you. There was a hord of dogs in the cafe bar, also outside and when we went upstairs to the restaurant they were out on the decking also. What really put us off staying was allowing dogs into the restaurant itself You could hear the damned things barking outside, the last thing we wanted was to share our lovely afternoon with someone else's mangy pets, especially while dining. I'm sorry I cannot rate food or value. However, value would would be nill because of other folks dogs in the restaurant, though I'm not so churlish as to put nil.

A fabulous place in a lovely location. Service was good. If the weather is nice you can eat outside and your dog can come too. The only criticism I have is there is not enough vegetarian or vegan meals on the menu. It is quite limited.

Booked for Saturday night for 5 girls for a Hen celebration. Service was quick, portions were a really good size and everything tasted lovely. Will definitely visit when we are in Anglesey again.
