Egan's Restaurant
Featured in Harden's Guide and the Good Food Guide, Egan's Restaurant has been serving great local food for over 13 years, attracting regular customers from as far as Surrey and Dorset, as well as international visitors who come to experience the variety and freshness of the menu.
The restaurant is run by Husband and Wife team, John and Debbie Egan, with a background in the food industry spanning more than 35 years, offering a classical French and modern English cooking style. Everything is made from scratch, therefore the kitchen team can offer and adapt the menu for any diet – gluten free, vegan and dairy free. Egan's Restaurant even make their own gluten free bread! On offer is a range of dishes using locally sourced seasonal fare from the South Coast and the New Forest, with a focus on using the freshest and best quality produce, so the menu changes very frequently to ensure the highest levels of quality and taste.
The restaurant is based in the former Lymington Police Station, a building originally built in the late 1800′s to stop smuggling taking place at the Wheatsheaf Inn opposite. The police station was closed in 1955, when it was then turned into a pub, then a restaurant, and finally became Egan's in May 1999.
