The Swiss House

The Swiss House opened on February 14th 2012 after a six month renovation and interior makeover. Formerly known as the Swiss Chalet, the Mowat family took the reigns and set about to transform this much loved venue into a dining destination - respectful of its heritage but ready to offer something exciting and memorable both in tastes and flavours but in atmosphere and ambience. Located within the stunning Glen Helen (National Glen), the Swiss House offers a relaxed and friendly dining experience with a beautifully designed interior. Featuring the only Josper Charcoal Grill on the Isle of Man, The Swiss House serves fresh local meat from the island's finest butchers & seafood straight from the local fishing boats and locally sourced whenever possible. Food is prepared daily by head Chef Jean-Pierre Giuliani & his experienced kitchen team. With an open plan kitchen you can experience the chefs at work whilst enjoying the relaxing and warm atmosphere of the restaurant's two dining areas, beautifully designed to incorporate the natural wonders of the Glen and the welcoming feel of a country lodge. Having previously been open for limited times of the week in its former ownership the Swiss House is now open 6 days a week. You can enjoy morning coffee, cake and light snacks from 10.30am, a full lunch menu between 12:00am and 2:00pm, afternoon tea and snacks until 5.30pm or the full evening menu from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. On Sunday there is also a fantastic mouthwatering Sunday Lunch between 12:00am and 4:00pm.
