Junkyard Market
WHAT IS JUNKYARD MARKET?
The Junkyard Market is a global street food and drink market, housing a cluster of stalls serving forward-thinking street food with high-end cocktails. We aimed to transform under-used spaces into a buzzing day and evening street food market.
You can dig into globe-spanning dishes from many of the best traders local to your city and beyond – everything from Turkish flatbreads to chicken wings, to Asian fusion and Mac n Cheese with a twist. The bar offers a broad range; from locally brewed beer on tap and award winning wines by Harper Wells to high-end cocktails using locally sourced ingredients crafted by our in-house specialists.
The ever-changing background music catered to a diverse range of tastes, along with DJ-led evenings and exclusive performances from music legends such as Norman Jay MBE!
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL?
No Junkyard Market is ever the same! We have a team of amazing designers and production who utilize their knowledge and experience and make your Junkyard Market unique and interesting.
Each corner of Junkyard Market is completely different, each visit feels like a new experience. You can sit somewhere different and eat and drink something different every time!
One of our main focuses is supporting the local community and having a 50/50 split for local and beyond traders. We employ many local staff and contractors as well as using local suppliers to ensure we continuously support the community around us!
WHEN IS IT?
Junkyard Market runs every Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

There was a wide choice of food on the blackboard and we picked 3 vegetarian meals ( we are not vegetarians) Together with some sourdough bread and skinny chips. The food was very tasty ( and a reasonable price) and I had intended having a dessert but was full up so had to give it a miss. We will be back again and I will have a dessert.

It was cold outside so being nice and warm inside was a good start. I described the service to my wife as "Maldives level" if you have ever been you will know it means super attentive and responsive without being annoying. The staff know the dishes, the concept is great, we had 4 plates and 2 sides and a dessert, just the right amount. We never normally have dessert but we didn't want lunch to end and the assiette chocolat was a great choice. Very highly recommended

I'd walked past Limetree Kitchen on numerous occasions, and in fact new the place, in an earlier guise, but had never ventured to eta there. A treat was in store - the welcome was warm and friendly, the Marmalade and Chilli, Gin Cocktail (giving breakfast a new kick) the perfect antidote to the wintry conditions outside, The menu, although not extensive, was varied and offered mouth-watering combinations. The black pudding that accompanied the octopus, was just right, as was the octopus itself, the celeriac was beautifully flavoursome. and the loin of pork utterly delicious and tender. The Winter Mess and Chocolate Trio - scrumptious. The overall ambience of hip shabby chic, platters for sharing and the general relaxed atmosphere, plus the friendliness of the staff, make this a place you'll want to go back to time and again . Bravo Sabastian and co ! Chris Newitt

It was our second visit to the lime tree kitchen and the experience didn’t disappoint we enjoyed the exquisite food and the vibe is always laid back and friendly. It’s not a cheap night out but the price reflects the quality and standard of the food and service, it’s a treat place for us and we will be back! We would come more often if we were local.
