Walmgate Ale House & Bistro

Walmgate Ale House & Bistro is set in a 17th century listed building in the centre of York and boasts a long history and a few ghost stories! The Ale House on the ground floor offers a range of Yorkshire Ales, Lagers and Cider as well as an extensive Wine List. Relax in the Snug and enjoy Bar Snacks, which include Sausage Rolls, Pork Pies and Yorkshire Cheeses. The second floor and loft space house the Bistro which serves home-made dishes using quality Yorkshire produce, sourced directly from the fields to the restaurant. From a light bite to a hearty comforting dish, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The Bistro also serves brunch from 9:30 at week-ends and Sunday lunch from 12:00. The Loft space is the perfect place for a party or large gathering.
