Oli's Thai

Oli’s Thai is a tiny and exceptionally popular restaurant situated in the backstreets of east Oxford. Be aware, The place is wildly popular, although entirely without attitude or pretence and you may have to book well in advance to secure a table. The restaurant is small and unpretentious with no more than six tables, and a few single spots facing on to the street. Spoons, forks and napkins sit in a glass on the table, David Thompson tomes squat on a shelf, next to large plastic pots of chilli paste and fish sauce. Owners Rufus Thurston, an Oxford local runs the front of house, while his wife Laddawan creates amazing dishes in the kitchen. Oli's is nothing short of amazing... and provides a true taste of authentic Thai cuisine. Due to the small size of the restaurant Oli’s Thai cannot cater for young children in the evenings, but are able to do so at lunchtimes. Please always let the restaurant know when making a booking if you are bringing a child. Expect some of the best Thai food outside South East Asia. Everything is evocative of the country – fragrant and salty, punchy and complex. The rice is fluffy, and the Chang beer washes it all down nicely.
