We visited the Magdalen Arms for Sunday lunch. We were so impressed by the menu and standard of food - it totally exceeded our expectations of a pub Sunday lunch. It was absolutely up our street and really could not be faulted. The waiting staff were lovely and we enjoyed the relaxed vibe. We will definitely be back.

I always love going to the Magdalen Arms but sadly this time the Sunday roast was not up to its usual standards. The roast potatoes were hard and not at all crispy and the beef was super tough. It was a real shame. Other than that the service was great.

We couldn’t fine a place we like in Oxford city center for our Sunday Roast. Finding the Magdalen Arms was a high light of our Sunday. Only a short bus ride from the High Street bus stop we took a 3A double decker bus 🚌,another thing we needed to check off our to do list in England. 🏴 . We were early for our reservation but promptly seated in the back yard garden at a shaded table. Starting with a couple of pints of Guinness we ordered the Sunday Roast and were not at all disappointed. 😋. If I ever make it back to Oxford on a Sunday I know exactly where I want to go for the Sunday Roast again.

Went in for a Sunday roast myself and 2 friends. The food was nice roast potatoes perfect veg very nice. The gravy, I honestly never in mg life had anything like it, if aas like brown water, I was genuinely in shock it was so bad How the chef or kitchen staff even left the plates leave the kitchen is beyond me. It was disgusting.
