Our Story
For a long time now, we’ve observed foodies and non-foodies alike being somewhat ambivalent about fantastically popular Indian takeaway and restaurant food – not because they don’t love the incredible range of flavours, but because they can sometimes find the food too heavy, too greasy and too filling. The UK has adopted Indian food as one of their favourite cuisines. You can walk along any street here in our wonderful capital and smell spices wafting from restaurants and takeaways serving delicious food for hungry food lovers young and old. The UK has – quite wonderfully – taken Indian cuisine into their hearts, something about which we’re so pleased, but we also feel it’s time for a new approach to how we appreciate Indian food. We work to the ethos that our food showcases authentic dishes around the subcontinent using only healthy recipes and responsibly sourced ingredients.

A Family’s Passion
Our co-founder, Raje Senthil comes from a background of family-run restaurants in her home country of India, and it is from these special establishments that we have drawn our inspiration – taking the family’s traditional recipes and adding a contemporary twist for modern food lovers all over the capital.
Raje Senthil and our entire team are passionate about showcasing all the wonderful flavours of India without any of the heaviness we have come to expect from many Indian takeaways and restaurants. From rich spices to fresh, crisp vegetables and perfectly cooked bread and rice, everything is freshly prepared with care and expert knowledge.
Our head chef and restaurant managers come from Michelin-star backgrounds, so you can rest assured you get that level of quality in our healthy Indian dishes, every time. Our team painstakingly create, taste, and tweak every plate of food with the care and passion of Raje Senthil’s family to whom we owe so much.
