Tropeiro (Glasgow)
Tropeiro is an authentic Brazilian dining restaurant - The tropeiros were native Brazilian cowboys, living a semi-nomadic life in the South of Brazil. Due to the nature of their lives and work, the diet of these men comprised mainly of barbecued meat. Today, the barbecue style of meat is called 'churrasco'.
Tropeiro cook the mouth-watering meats on an open fire that is carved table-side, with each of the different cuts of meat offering a unique and succulent dining experience with sealed in juices and flavours. The dining experience at Tropeiro is based on the "rodizio" concept, which means a continuous table-side service of at least twelve different mouth-watering cuts of roasted beef, pork, lamb and chicken.
The "rodizio" also includes an amazing buffet of over 20 gourmet salads and fresh cut vegetables, and a variety of traditional side dishes to complement the meats.
Tropeiro is situated on Argyle Street in Glasgow city centre. It is less than 5 minutes walk from Glasgow Central train station, with the Royal Concert Hall and Buchanan Galleries Shopping Centre both nearby. A short walk from the main High Street this is an ideal destination for shoppers, students, parties, business clients and visitors to Glasgow.
