Brilliant anniversary dinner

Really special dinner at the Acorn. My wife and I have not tasted fish and oysters this good away from the coastline. Really beautifully presented, excellent flavours and very friendly staff. We had a lovely chat with Bruce, the chef, and his passion for what he does was clear through his food and his enthusiasm. Will definitely be back!

The food, service and ambience were all perfect for a thoroughly enjoyable evening - thank you. ps it was very refreshing to have the option of tasty, very reasonably priced wines, next time I won't drive.

We went for dinner to mark my adult daughter’s birthday. Once again we had a superb experience. The welcome was warm, the food outstanding and fresh and the wine list impressive. We had a query about one of the main courses and the chef/owner came to our table to give us a fulsome explanation. Will definitely return!
